God's Word To You
A DAILY DEVOTIONAL
December 2
THE WORD IS GOD’S BOND
Scripture Reading:
“My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.” — Psalm 89: 34 (KJV)
Devotional Thought:
Every word that proceeds from the mouth of God carries the weight of His character. God’s Word is not casual talk; it is His covenant; His sacred bond with His people. When He speaks, He commits Himself to perform it. The strength of God’s Word rests upon the unchanging nature of His person.
Men may promise and fail, but not God. His Word cannot be broken because His nature cannot change. He cannot lie, retract, or contradict Himself. To doubt His Word is to question His integrity. To believe His Word is to honour His faithfulness.
When you hold on to the Word of God, you are holding on to something more solid than the earth beneath your feet. The promises of God are not wishful thinking; they are legal commitments in the court of heaven. God Himself stands as surety behind every verse.
Faith therefore begins where the integrity of God is trusted. When He said, “I will never leave you,” He meant it. When He declared, “By His stripes you are healed,” He wasn’t speaking figuratively. His Word is His bond—it is the final seal on every matter concerning your life.
Let this truth settle deep within you: God’s Word is as good as done. Believe it. Speak it. Stand on it. Everything else may fail, but His Word cannot.
Reflection/Action point:
Pause and identify one promise from God you’ve stopped believing because of delay or disappointment. Return to that Word today. Write it out, confess it aloud, and remind yourself that God’s Word cannot fail, because He cannot lie.
Prayer:
Faithful Father, thank You for the assurance that Your Word never changes. Help me to trust You fully, even when my circumstances say otherwise. Teach me to stand on Your promises until I see their fulfillment. Let my heart rest in Your integrity and my lips echo Your truth.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Author's Note
From the earliest days of my walk with God, I discovered that the Word is the believer’s greatest treasure.
It is the map that leads us into destiny, the seed that produces fruit, and the weapon that wins every battle.
Over the years, I’ve learned that you cannot walk in lasting power, purity, or purpose without taking God’s Word seriously. Many want results, but few stay long enough in the Word to receive revelation. Yet everything we desire—healing, direction, victory, fruitfulness flows from Scripture believed and obeyed.
My prayer is that this devotional will reignite your passion for the Word. Let it draw you back to your Bible, not out of routine, but out of hunger for fellowship with the Living Word—Jesus Christ Himself.
As you read daily, take time to reflect, journal, and speak the Word over your life. May December mark the beginning of a lifelong relationship with the Word that produces unshakable faith and enduring fruit.
